2014 Everglades 243 CC with Tower and Upper Helm
I have owned a lot of boats and it is true what they say about the ride this is the "Cadillac" of boats:
First, it's a fantastic hull. A proven Bob Dougherty original that's perfect for fishing inshore, and it's equally comfortable offshore. It has high gunwales, for a bay boat. It's also a heavy boat that delivers a very smooth ride even in a tight chop. No pounding.
Second, the Yamaha 300 powerplant comes with a full 3-year factory warranty. The painted White option looks Amazing!!
This boat has been rigged to the max (at the factory) with all the latest electronics from Garmin, JL Audio, Power-Pole, and more.
The upper helm offers a 3-position retracting seat, allowing you to stand with a comfortable hip rest, or sit atop on very comfortable seat with backrest. When you're up top, the view is remarkable. My head is about 12 feet above the water, so sight fishing and spotting bait is excellent. Two ready rod holders and 6 drink holders up top too. It's really easy to get up and down, kind of like climbing into a tree house. And running the boat from up there is Great!
Beyond the standard, expected features at the upper helm...Compass, Trimtabs with indicator, Stereo,12v power plug, and Power-Pole remotes, I have added a Garmin 547 XS and perfectly mirrors all the numeric data of the Garmin 7212 unit at the lower helm.
The leaning post converts from a cushy leaning post, to a full bench seat by simply rotating the side arms. At the same time, the footrest folds down giving you a comfortable perch. Beneath the leaning post a Yeti cooler is mounted on a sliding track system, letting you store it under for full use of the rear cockpit, or easily slide and lock it in several positions. Makes a great seat too. For creature comforts, we have the full set of forward cushions as well.
Aft, there are two folding seats on each side. The backs are very substantial when folded down, providing a flat casting deck in the back. Under the seats is easy access to the dual batteries, switches, Power-Pole pump, On board battery charing system and more. A 36 gallon gasketed livewell is dead center. It's blue gel coat, has interior lights and does a great job keeping bait. There is also a retractable freshwater shower hose and a stainless hose bib for the saltwater washdown.
The stern is equipped with aft swim platform and a 8' Power-Pole Blade.
Moving forward, there are dual power plugs for electric reels and electric downriggers tucked under the gunwwale. Lean-out tackle drawers on either side, just forward of the console. The console itself features an Edson tilting wheel, more cup holders, a sizeable locking glove box with 12v plug and USB ports, and the stereo and VHF are mounted in easy reach. Another set of Lectrotab trim tab with indicators remote, Power Pole remote, all are conveniently placed at the console.
A 12" Garmin 7212 touch-screen display is networked with Garmin GSD 24 Digital HD sonar, 1K through Hull Transducers, WiFi interface, and SiriusXM Marine weather overlay. Plus it is all NEMA interfaced.
The Garmin 200 VHF is a best-in-class VHF, connected to an 8' Digital antenna. The Garmin 200 also comes with the CommandMic IV remote mic/controller and that is mounted for easy reach and use at the upper helm station.
The patented sliding windshield is an awesome benefit on cool mornings or when the skies open up. And if it's a hot day, drop the windshield down and you've got a great breeze.
The console has a lot of room inside as well. Comes with a porta-pottie and still plenty of room for storage.
Forward there are three large storage compartments. Port and starboard will each hold 2 or 3 rods, plus dock lines, fenders, tackle boxes, etc. The forward deck compartment holds the 3 trolling motor batteries, a spare anchor, hose, fenders. A large in-deck fish box has both a gravity drain and pump-out.
The bow anchor locker has plenty of room for lots of line and chain.
The Yamaha FX 300 with Stainless prop is a powerhouse. It drinks very little and gets about 3.5 mpg at a 30 mph cruise. (This is a heavy boat...5200 lbs). WOT equals roughly 55 mph. It's had all fluid changes performed by certified Yamaha techs. Yamaha command Link is a 5 inch LCD display and Fly-by-wire digital controls this bad boy. Approx 50 hours on the engine. And again, comes with a FULL 3 YR Yamaha Factory Warranty.
This boat has never been run hard. I don't fish tournaments, and if the sea state is marginal, I typically don't go out because of my kids . However I have been caught out in the snot a few times, and the boat performed flawlessly in some really nasty stuff.

Why am I selling it? Building new home and HOA will not allow boat's in the open, so I may join boat club to have use of multiple boats, and not have to worry about storage.
Super stable. Family friendly. Ready to fish. Very shallow draft for a boat this solid, approx 16".
