Ok guys here is the story. I had the boat sold. First guy to come look at it wanted the boat. Scheduled a pick up for two days later, and the boat got hit by lightning that day! Cant make this stuff up!! The lightning hit the rocket launchers and traveled thru the antenna ( laying down on t top) down the console and straight thru the bottom of the boat to the trailer. The bottom has a hole in it about the size of a quarter. It traveled back to the motor and fried the ECM and harness. I'm sick to my stomach over this as you could imagine and i'm picking the new boat up this weekend. I dont have room for both of the boats, if i did i would keep it and do the work myself. I'm looking to unload it pretty quickly and i'm going to ask $4,000 obo. Open for all offers really, cant offend me at this point. If you have any questions shoot me a pm or give me a call. 302 218 4971
Id post pictues but not much to see really other than a fried antenna. But i do have them if interested
Up for sale is my pride and joy, having owned it for the last 7 years, it has been a labor of love. Countless hours spent updating it with all intentions of keeping it forever. I just recently found a boat that will suit my needs a little better. I like to stay out on the river some nights in the summer, and with that being said I am making the move to a pilot house boat with a berth and more comforts this week. Not needing two boats, the Kencraft unfortunately has to go. Specs are as follows.
1989 Kencraft 215
2004 Mercury 225 EFI with 850 hours. Cruise 34-35 when conditions permit, WOT around 45+. Estimated 2-3nmpg, very fuel efficient.
New fuel lines from tank back, racor fuel filter and water separator changed each season.
Lower unit oil changed each season, entire motor was just gone through and serviced by Sawyer Brothers Marine.
Motor has been fresh water flushed after EVERY use, religiously.
Polished/Buffed/Waxed each season.
Dual axle trailer with all new hubs, bearings and leaf springs last fall of 2012. Rollers in proper working order.
Brand new batteries, 2 months old.
Livewell in proper working order
Raw water wash down in proper working order
Spreader lights and running lights all in proper working order
New leaning post upholstery
VHF with new 8ft antenna in proper working order
Humminbird 598ci fish finder in proper working order
Boat has two fuel tanks, one front and one rear with a total capacity of 140 gal.
Side swim ladder
Gunnel mount outriggers
This boat has seen majority of its use in brackish back bay/river water, with offshore ocean reef fishing a few times a year.
All of my fishing has been within a 1-10 mile run, and because of this I have only ever used the rear fuel tank.
With that being said, the front gas tank is in an honest unknown condition. Boat shows great for year, some minor cosmetics as expected with a 21 year old hull, but in overall great condition.
Asking 10,000 obo
