2000 Contender 27 with twin two-stroke ox66 Saltwater Series 200's.
Boat was brought up from NC to MD in the summer of 2013 with the intent to repower.
Unfortunately, the job quickly took us past our budget when we found out we needed to replace the tanks and the rebuild was placed on hold.
This is a 2000 model 27 Contender with 2004 model ox66 200's.
The engines are high in hours and have sat too long.
While they could likely be cleaned up and ran, I couldn't in all honesty claim that they remain sound. Would recommend repower.
The electronics and controls need replacing.
The wiring was dismantled expecting a repower to a different manufactured setup, so some of this will likely need replacing as well. Needs reupholstering and a good scrub down. The bottom has never been painted (trailered since new,) but the outer will need a solid buff, or more likely, repainted, to shine.
The trailer is a (titled/registered) 2003 Magic Tilt TALS 31110 Tandem Axle that I bought off a fellow THT'er that owned a 31 Contender.
This is a boat worth completing. Unfortunately, I no longer have the time or funds to commit.
I point out that this remains a project.
While it sits on a strong core with the replacement of all three tanks, fill tubes, and has a solid hull, this boat will take some investment to get back on the water and in show quality.
The boat is current located in Edgewater, MD.
Will accept reasonable offers. Throw a number out, might bite. If not, no harm done. Looking to move as quick as possible.
Feel free to PM, comment, or reach me at email@example.com with any questions you may have.
Thanks for the look!
This is a picture of the boat in 2009 when purchased (don't have a current picture of the color as it remains weather wrapped.)
