Keep cool this summer with a Cruisair model WJAH16 direct expansion A/C-heat pump.
120-volt system rated at 16,000 btu/hr.
Unit runs very well, and is a 1985 model per the serial number.
Cruisair tech support said it is basically the same as the current R series and you can get parts.
Came built-in with my 36' gulf coast-origin sailboat, but I don't need an air conditioner here in Seattle and want the space to put in a 12-volt diesel furnace.
Condenser/compressor unit (appx. 1.5 feet square) mounts under cockpitElectrical control box (white remote mounted next to the condenser)
Raw water pump
One main air handler for saloon with tee and line to V-berth
3-knob control panel and thermostat
Tees, ducts, wood-trim diffuser grilles and all wiring and ductwork that can be removed in serviceable condition.
The copper refrigerant pipe might not all make it without splitting but I will try.
Price includes my cost of appx. $200 for a Cruisair-qualified serviceman to recover the refrigerant before removing the system.
He can confirm its functionality prior to removal.
