Key Largo, Florida

I am currently in Key Largo, Florida, and am looking at selling my 1983 Helms 27 with a Yanmar 2gm diesel. I live in Virginia, and I just finished going down the length of the ICW, and was looking at crossing to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, due to some changes, I'm not sure how long I can keep the sailboat, and I'm looking at possibly selling it for money for college. I have lived aboard since mid-October, and the boat has had many changes since I have moved in. The buyer will receive almost everything that comes on the boat- I will remove my personal items, as well as my bike, my tools, etc. I have sailed 1150 miles successfully down the ICW; we made it through Hurricane Sandy with issues; the boat just had a survey done in February, and passed with flying colors; I am more than happy to take any buyers out for a sea trial; and we can discuss me delivering the boat if you would like. Here's a list of some of the things included/done to the boat:
Just changed gas and oil filters/fluids
Recent water pump rebuild
New Jib (140, I believe)
New low pressure gas pump (installed and checked by mechanic)
GPS Chartplotter (Standard Horizon)
Depth sounder/Fish Finder
New Eno gimbaled propane stove
Propane locker for stove
Flares, lights, lifejackets, full safety equipment
Yanmar 2gm Diesel
Water pump with 30 gallon tank
20 gallon diesel tank with 10 gallons in jerry cans
Recently pulled- new bottom paint in February (Ablative), pulled and cleaned again in November
220 amp hour AGM deep cycle battery
Roller Furling Jib
Full interior and exterior cushions (new upholstery inside)
Galley with sink, etc.
Coleman Cooler (keeps ice 5 days at 90* F)
Battery Charger (Not built in- Portable)
30 Amp shore power hookup and cord
4 standard life jackets, 1 inflatable offshore jacket
2 Kerosene lamps
Solar anchor light
8' dinghy with oars (can be towed or lifted with winches and placed on forward deck)
New rigging (Halyards, sheets, etc.)
Plenty of docklines
Paper ICW Charts
Yanmar engine tools & all tools which came with boat
Original Yanmar engine manual (Fills a 3" binder- lots of info in there)
Hand held VHF & main VHF with antenna at top of mast
All general boating equipment required for daily use
Title in Hand!
Really, I'm looking at moving off the boat, taking the things I use back home, and leaving you all the boating equipment. This boat is fully set up to be a live aboard, coastal cruiser, weekender, etc., and can be sailed away as-is. Like I said, if you'd like to go out in her, I'll take you out for the day or more, and if you need delivery, I'm willing to deliver, and we can discuss that later on. I have a copy of the survey on the boat, and I will try and post some pictures of the boat as they are available. You can reach me at my email 12jfoote@gmail.com or by phone at 757-784-4239. Feel free to call or email for information or pictures. Thanks!
