I just had the Boathaus build this.
It began life as a 26' Regal Leisure Cat.
he stripped it down and removed the entire top cap.
He replaced it with a nida core floor with large hatches for storage and a center console/leaning post.
It has a livewell, brand new 225 etec with less than 10 hours on it, LED lighting all around, six 7'' speakers, one 10'' sub (but I have two more 10's to be installed), JL amp, Clarion head unit, Raymarine E120 that plays movies for the kids, bottom paint, custom rails, etc, etc..
This boat is great for gulf fishing or cruising to the sand bar.
I also have an 8' 6'' hard top for it, and double bimini top rails for it.
I have a low bridge near my home, so I'll more than likely just go with the bimini tops if it doesn't sell.
The boat currently runs 43 mph with a light load, and around the 40 range with 10 people on board.
I cruised it home in the gulf when it was completed.
surrounded by white caps it cruised around 27-30 mph in the 4,200 to 4,400 rpm range.
At that speed it was turning in 2.5 mpg.
Any more or less would result in 2.2 mpg.
The boat is very quick to accelerate.
Even loaded heavy, it is very quick.
They are sending me a new prop to try to try to get the fuel mileage up.
They told me switching from the viper to the rebel prop I could expect a gain of 20% fuel economy and better speed.
It's 26' long, and just under 8'6'' wide.
Like I do most of my projects, I get them completed and then sell.
I have $40,000 in this boat without the initial purchase price.
It's all new.
I can demo the boat for serious buyers in Nokomis, FL.
I may entertain the thought of a new or newer 90 to 150hp outboard, an older diesel truck, first gen bronco, scout, or wrangler as partial trade.
I enjoy projects.
I'll post more pics soon.
Feel free to PM me with any questions.
