We have decided to put our 1995 Seawind 1000 up for sale as we feel its time to return to a normal working life on land for awhile, so my wife says.
Our Seawind has custom 3' stern extensions as well as a 6' bowsprit and screecher, both fabricated by Walter Green the multihull guru of New England. She is in very nice shape and one of the faster productioin cats in her size range. The joining of the salon and cockpit make for a huge gathrering space and coupled with the twin wheels under the protection of the bimini in my opinion, probably the best set up for ease of sailing in a catamaran to be seen. She is ready to go cruising.
Sails: Sq. topped main, 90% jib on furler, new screecher with new Facnor endless line furler. asyymetrical spinnaker and like new storm jib. New stack pack for the main and lazy jacks.
Electronics: Garmin 3210 chartplotter, Autohelm St4000 autopilot, Autohelm depth and speed, Raytheon radar, Standard Horizon VHF JVC stereo with 12 disc changer, True Charge 40 battery charger,Xantrex Pso 1000 inverter with remote, two new 210 watt solar panels with Trace40 charge controller. ACR Satellite 406 epirb.
Anchors: 35lb Manson Supreme with 100' 5/16 and 100' nylon rode. 33lb Original Bruce with 30' 3/8 chain 100' nylon rode. 12v Simpson Lawrence Horizon Express anchor windlass with remote.
Propulsion: Two new Yamaha T9.9 outboards with a little over 100 hours on them. two 12 gallon fuel tanks. Morse engine controls.
Other: 2 burner Maxi Tudor stove and broiler. Standard Seawind 1000 radar arch with custom propane and gas container racks. 2 new grp 17 lb. propane tanks. New Magma grill. Two new trampolines. New Natureshead composting head. New upholstery through out. New West Marine 10' hypalon rib with 6hp Mercury.
A new bottom job was done in March of this year with 3 coats of ABC3 ablative. While hauled out we glassed in all unused through hulls leaving just the depth and speed through hulls. The boat has been completely profesionally rewired with all tinned wire. The front windows on this Seawind are removable giving almost 20 sq. feet of open ventilation into the salon/cockpit. There are covers for all the hatches and hardtop windows.
Asking price: $142,000
