Nice 1986 Privateer Roamer II, bought it and a couple other boats with the intention of fixing up one to run nearshore charters on, decided on using a 20' Cape Fisherman instead of the others. This boat had a couple soft spots around the access hatches so I had the deck re-done in October. It was also a forward/side console model for crabbing so I had the console moved to the center. Fellow I had do the deck work said the stringers were covered in several layers of bi-axial cloth and that it is the most solidly built 21' boat he has seen in his 30+ years of fiberglass work. Currently rigged for a Mercury but I also have the controls for a Yamaha, Johnson, Evinrude, or Suzuki. Good solid boat with a good trailer and new deck, ready for another 20 years of use. DOES NOT INCLUDE AN ENGINE. If you are not familiar with Privateers they are strong, no frills fishing boats and the Roamer II is their most popular small boat model with its wide flare. I did not replace the fuel tank as it was in very good shape. I have a 2006 115 Yamaha 4-stroke with less than 150 hours that I could sell with it, $9500 with that on there, rigged. What is that PVC covered pole you ask? The boat was used by East Carolina University to sample crab populations and that is the post for pulling pots, I can take it out if you are not a crabber.
