So, I've got a bit of 4-footitis going on. Putting this up to gauge potential interest.
24' Silverhawk. Cuddy Cabin - the only cuddy they build. 2003 model, bought new leftover in 2006. Boat's in Maryland. This one was built by the "original" Jersey Marine folks. mpwitte here on THT built it.
Dry weight is around 5500, have never had it on a scale.
Sitting on an aluminum bunk trailer. Disc brakes on front axle.
Mercruiser Mag 350 horizon, with Bravo-III outdrive. FWC. 24p props. 760 hours.
WOT is 46 MPH. I normally cruise at 30mph. Don't have all the numbers off the of my head, but loaded for bear on an off-shore trip, get 2.2 or so MPG. Loaded light and fishing the bay, 2.5 to 2.6mpg at cruise.
110 gallons of fuel.
Mechanically sound. Replaced risers and manifolds with OEM two years ago. This year new water pump assembly (replaced OEM with stainless, serviceable housing), distributor, new alternator. In the shop now getting new coupler and yoke, and while the motor is out replacing the oil pan and starter.
I had the hardtop built by S&S marine in Norfolk. 7-piece strataglass enclosure. Rocket launcher on hardtop, two rod holders in transom, two on each side, and clamp-ons on the rear top supports. I troll up to nine lines.
Two long fish boxes in the deck. A large lazarette between the seats. Two batteries. Gunnel mounted outriggers. Plumbed livewelll in the transom. Large swim platform.
Bennett trim tabs.
Combing pads all the way around. Cushion for the engine box that's never seen the light of day.
Electronics include two Lowrance HDS-7's and an HD-5. Broadband rader, LSS structure scan and an airmar through hull, tilted element 600 watt 'ducer. Stereo with four speakers and XM receiver.
Lewmar 700 free-fall windlass, with 400 feet of 8-plait rode and about 25 feet of 1/4 inch chain.
Two bilge pumps - fore and aft. Freshwater and rawwater washdown. Porta-potty installed in cabin (never been used...).
Some cosmetic things I need to take care of, but nothing major. Hull is sound, no softspots anywhere.
Phenomenal Chesapeake boat that can be fished comfortably in all weather. Off-shore capable - have been 60nm out from OC MD to fish the Baltimore and Poormans, and have fished it out of OI and Hatteras.
Got the itch for something more optimized for off-shore....
it's real hard to get comps and set a value, as this is the only cuddy they ever built. The "new" Silverhawk marine has the molds, but as far as I know never made one. The Silverhawk center-consoles hold their value real well. Thinking somewhere around $30k.
