Description

I am listing my Challenger 215.
It is listed with a broker because I live in Asia most of the year and thus am not around all the time to show it.
This is a 1998 bracketed hull that I bought in 2012.
That is the older style hull without the walk-in console, which is actually why I bought it as the fuel tank is more forward resulting in a better ride.
I repowered with an ETEC 200hp, primarily because of the light weight.
Included the digital ICON gauges and digital throttle and shift--the complete digital package. The motor has been flawless--I replaced the starter solenoid last summer
which died for some reason, otherwise not a hiccup. Extended warranty thru April 2017. 200-250 hrs, not sure exactly.
Cruises 4000 rpm around 28-30mph at 3 mpg.
WOT 5600 rpm and low-mid 40 (I've seen 46 but I think that was tide...I'd say 43-44 realistically.
Also had a ton of work done by a local (Beaufort, NC) high-end custom builder over the winter of 2012/2013 to make the boat safe (IMO) for offshore.
Basically rewired the boat, adding a third house battery and a Blue Seas VSR, making it impossible for the house to run down the starting battery and allowing combination of all three to start if necessary.
Pics of electrical system attached.
While at it changed out the most of the plastic through hulls to stainless and replaced hoses.
Added Southco stainless deck drains with check valves and replaced the Marelon through hulls. . Added proper Marelon seacocks to the front fish box drain, and the upper and lower livewell drain.
Added a second bilge pump (with separate outlet) and a high water alarm.
Rebuilt hydraulic steering (SeaStar).
Canvas is 2012.
Last year replaced most of the deck hardware with new stainless bolts/screws and rebedded.
Added Garmin 740S.
Some minor stress cracks and dings but otherwise in remarkable shape for the age.
Trailer is a 2005 Road King tandem that hasn't been used because I dry-stacked the boat inside for the last three years. But I had it reviewed last month by a road king dealer and replaced all three cross members and the bunk supports to the tune of $1000+.
This is an absolute turnkey battle wagon that is happy and safe at the 90 foot drop after Mahi and wahoo as well as in the creeks after redfish.
A very real value at $22,995.
Located in Morehead City, NC.
Please follow the craigslist link or PM me for more info, but you have to talk to the broker on purchase. Sorry for the one photo--doing this on my phone while delayed flying to Japan :-).
I can email more photos.

Only selling because we have bought a place on the Sound and with the kids growing up and us living in Asia the offshore opportunities are just too limited.
Looking for something for more shallow water fishing/sandbar work for the time being.
