If you want a turn key fishing/diving machine for under 17K this is the boat to look at. It is an absolute diving dream, tons of room, great 4 stroke, etc...
This is a 1994 Stratos 2250 W/A (Walkaround) with a single 2009 Suzuki 225 four stroke engine. The boat has been in my family since it was built and this boat is absolutely turn key ready to fish, dive, cruise, go scalloping, lobstering, etc.
The boat has an ARMSTRONG (best there is) bracket custom made for the boat which makes the total overall length of the boat 24’ The Armstrong bracket has a dive ladder and tons of room for standing/fishing, etc. The top of the swim platform has non skid.
I cannot stress how ready this boat is and what great condition the engine and all accessories are in. You could literally bring ice and fishing rods and pick up the boat and take it to the ramp and fish.
I have fished /spearfished off this boat for years. The Suzuki engine has 350 hours on it and it absolutely run flawlessly. I have maintained a very regimented service schedule on the engine and I currently run Amsoil synthetic. The Stainless steel Suzuki prop if free of any blemishes and the boat gets incredible gas mileage.
I usually have a heavy load with tanks, coolers, etc and on a calm day the boat gets 2 miles to the gallon. With a light load and calm waters you are near 3 MPG and I have even calculated it over three with no gear inside the boat and just running it at cruising speed. The fuel capacity is 87 gallons and I have had the boat 71 miles offshore, fished all day, then come back in with gas to spare.
For this size of a boat there is a TON of room on the deck for fishing/diving. The gunwales are just the right height and have new canvas padding that are the perfect height for leaning on and bottom fishing.
The boat is absolutely perfect for family days scalloping, lobstering, cruising, etc and the NEW aluminum top (Sunbrella) provides plenty of shade for long days.
The cabin is very simple and used mainly for storage but it is also a great place to get out of the weather or for naps in the shade for either adults or kids. Often I put a bean bag down in the cabin and my son sleeps half the day.
Inside the cabin I mounted a Sony AM/FM/CD player with a remote control. 2 waterproof speakers are mounted in the helm area.
The boat has a Garmin 232 GPS receiver built in the dash and the bottom machine is a Color Raymarine DS600X and the transducer is a transom mount. The transducer is mounted PERFECTLY and reads bottom all through the RPM and speed ranges. And the transducer is perfectly level, meaning when I throw the jug weight on a wreck/ledge it literally hits the spot dead on.
The bottom paint is coming off and I did not paint it over because I don’t want it to appear that I am covering anything up and I don’t need the bottom paint anyway because the boat is trailer kept. If the buyer wants to repaint then it will be easy, or it will not be so hard to remove the paint if it will be trailer kept.
If you are a serious interested party/buyer please come look at the boat and we can take it for a test ride.
The NADA Average LOW retail for this is $18,175 and the high retail price is $20,545.
I am selling this boat/trailer combo for $16K I am willing to show, test ride, take to mechanic, anything but not going to haggle too much on the price.
