After completely restoring my 1984 Tiara 2500 walk-around with hard top we had a fire in the cockpit area before it even went into the water this year. So we're not sure yet if we will be offering the boat and motor or just the motor yet.
This boat has a beam of 8?6? and one of the largest rear cockpit areas of any boat its size.
Complete New Enclosure ? the two side panels were on the boat and suffered some damage to the clear panels, but the canvas is perfect. The enclosure has full zips on the front and side panels. The rear panels are made of three pieces. This was literally brand new last summer.
Complete new V-Berth cushions ? We also made new v-berth cushions with new zip-out foam cores.
New 38 gallon fresh water tank plumbed to a switch between salt and fresh water and then to a new wash down pump.
I installed a new Simrad NSS8 last year, so the hull has two new transducers, one regular bronze transducer and a Side Scan transducer both of which will remain in the boat for repair or replacement.
I also installed new Lenco trim tabs which will merely need to be re-spliced to work correctly. This was a great improvement to the handling of the boat.
The boat has a custom hardtop and aluminum superstructure.
The aluminum gas tank was originally 125 gallons. The boat used to have twins. Since I now operate a single ox66 250, I removed the tank, had it cut down to 84 gallons, cleaned refinished and coated on the outside with truck bed liner material. It?s literally like having a new, clean tank. After cutting down the tank we had room for the fresh water tank and now enjoyed showers on the boat.
The bottom was sandblasted to gel coat and two coats of barrier coat have been applied. Then two coats of VC Offshore was applied. I see awesome burn numbers on this boat.
The teak swim ladder was removed refinished and re-bedded to the boat
The 2002 ox66 has only about 350 hours on it, but i believe it was installed as a leftover in 2004 and was very well maintained. I bought the boat with only 280 hours on the motor. I had a full tune up done to the tune of more than $1300 the fall before last. This is one of the very few 2500's series boats built for outboards.
At cruise approx. 28-29 knots I burn 8-9 gallons per hour with the smooth bottom and a medium load.
The gel coat on one portion of the cockpit has been blistered but is in very repairable condition. The engine harness aft of the helm area and under the cockpit combing was melted, so she needs a new harness and wiring to and from the aft section. I believe for someone who wants to put in some effort to restore her again this is a fantastic boat with minimal damage.
The trailer is a 2004 LoadRite, Galvanized 24T6400TG1 Tandem trailer with rollers and is in very good condition. It could use a brake bleed but is in good working order.
Any questions or requests for viewing please contact me through PM. I am first trying to sell the whole package. If it doesn?t move right away I will split things up.
Thanks for looking.
