Firstly, this car is NOT stock. The car puts down 302hp/311tq at the wheels (I can provide the dyno sheet). It is fast, fun, reliable and practical. The Forester was ProTuned by Kienan at All Aspects. It is an overall conservative tune and peak boost is set at 18psi.
History of the car - I drove to Atlanta for this car because of the rarity and condition. It was a one-owner, clean CarFax car. The motor blew up on the drive back to Virginia. The car sat for a year while I saved to afford the rebuild. It was rebuilt by All Aspects Motorsports in Chesapeake, VA. Those of you who know them know the quality work they do. For those who do not, All Aspects is a well respected automotive shop that specializes in Subarus and anything fast. I got the car back in January of 2017 and have put roughly 24,000 miles on it with zero issues. The engine was properly broke in. The car runs fantastic and needs nothing. The clutch was replaced when the engine was being rebuilt. The body has 145k miles on it, motor and clutch around 26k miles. Everything works as it should. All electronics work including the heated seats. The heat and AC are both very strong. The car has an aftermarket Pioneer bluetooth cd player. Oil is changed every 4000 miles with Rotella T6 and an OEM filter.
The car suffered $4500 worth of hail damage last year, and was all properly fixed. The hood was replaced. All dings and dents were pulled, even ones unassociated with the hail incident. So, the body is very good with only one small dent that I am aware of on the passenger rear door, which looks like the previous owner tried to use touch up paint on. It is roughly the size of a nickel and is at the bottom of the door. Besides that the body is in fantastic shape. Car could use paint correction to look its best, but still shines up nicely with a wash and wax.
My asking price is less than what I have in to the car, not including the purchase price. I have invoices for everything that has been done to the car and can provide them for serious buyers. Navy Federal has the title, which is a clean title.
The rebuild included the following:
- OEM shortblock from Subaru
- OEM oil cooler
- Supertech valve guides
- ARP head stud kit
- All new gaskets
- Lightly used VF48 turbo from a 2013 STI
- Deatchwerks side feed injectors
- DW200 fuel pump
- COBB Tuning catted downpipe
- COBB Tuning uppipe
- Gates timing belt and water pump
- OEM oil pan
- OEM STI oil pump
- Killer B oil pick up
- NGK Iridium spark plugs, 1 step colder
- OEM thermostat
- All exhaust gaskets
- Machined cylinder heads, cleaned, milled, pressure tested, and installed new seals and guides
- ACT Heavy Duty Performance Street Disc Clutch (it is definitely heavy)
- Resurfaced flywheel
- Wix premium cabin filter
- COBB Accessport
I have also added the following:
- New rotors and pads
- Invidia G300 catback exhaust
- COBB SF intake
- WRX shift knob
- New window gussets
- Blacked out grill
- 40% tint
- Rear cargo cover
- OEM all weather floor mats
- Stock Subaru WRX suspension (roughly a 2 inch drop, still have stock suspension as well)
- JDM Forester STI wheels
- RARE Extended armrest
- Grimmspeed STI TMIC splitter
- New headlight housings
- LED headlights (definitely not even, but serves me well for the backroads)
- Fresh oil change
The wheels are not in great shape. All four wheels have curb rash, two are pretty bad. Previous owner did not know what he had as far as rarity. The wheels do not have any cracks or bends though, and do not leak air. Good tires with plenty of tread left. I had planned on having them fixed this summer. I searched for these wheels for a long time only to have a set basically fall in to my lap a few months ago. They really look great on this car!
I am sure I am forgetting some things. I can provide receipts for serious buyers. Title is currently held by Navy Federal and will probably take a couple of days to be released to you (I am not sure on the exact time frame). The stock Forester wheels will come with the car and he tires have plenty of tread left on them.
Only problem I can think of is that the drivers side door will need new weather stripping on the inside. Ever since I got it tinted, the window gets caught on the rubber while going down because the felt is worn down on that rubber piece. It is a $20 piece and a simple install.
