Up as a feeler is one of the best basses I've ever laid my hands on.
I am the third owner of this bass that was made by Chris Stambaugh in New Hampshire.
The specs are:
African mahogany Body
Carved flame maple body with a trans black finish
Birdseye maple fretboard w/ "55" inlaid at the 12th fret.
"Matching" headstock veneer
5 piece neckthrough neck (maple/purpleheart)
Hipshot tuners and bridge
Graphtech piezo saddles
Audere classic 4band preamp
Nordstrand P/J5 pickups
The knob configuration is
Volume/treble/himid/lomid/bass on bottom
Pickup blend and piezo/mag pickup blend on top.
I recently got the bass back from a local luthier. When I got it, the bass was making very odd electrical noises. Turned out the wiring was wrong. He cleaned it up and wired it correctly.
The bass comes with three sets of pickup covers. Birdseye maple, black flame maple, and Mahogany to match it any way you please.
Shipped in a nice, locking TKL case.
I have another 5 string that I like a lot and really miss having a Pbass. For trades, I'm looking for
Nice 4/5 string P or p/j basses
Nice 5 string jazz basses(Sadowsky, etc.)
