I think it's about time this National model enjoyed some of the respect and love some other models have deservedly earned. Although not as elegant as the New Yorker, it has the same great tone, and why shouldn't it ? Both have the famous Valco pickup and the quality National construction.
Gorgeous art-deco 1954 National Dynamic lap steel, made in Chicago.
Black-and-cream two-tone finish; solid maple body; all-original.
This super stylish lap steel from the colorful early 1950's era at Valco is not only striking to look at, but is great sounding as well.
Everything works perfectly.
Greg Leisz infamously uses a 1950's National Dynamic Lap Steel in the studio and when playing with Bill Frisell or any number of artists with whom he collaborates.
