I recently purchased this Williams and as much as I like it, I think I'm just a D-10 guy. Built in 1988, this guitar is clean and in fine shape, everything in working order, and it plays and sounds GREAT.
It appears that the endplates may have been painted at some point, and I believe a switch was also added to give the pickup a volume boost (see photo). It's a great feature... I wish all my steels had it.
This is a rare opportunity to own a wonderful Williams guitar at a much lower price than what I've seen them going for. The case and pouch are in fine shape too.
