No 4 Mk 1
Has the following characteristics of a No 4 Mk 1(T):
-TR (telescopic rifle) stamp on the left wrist
-five groove barrel
-D6E proof on the left side of bolt raceway
Does not have the T mark on the receiver, nor evidence of being drilled for the scope. Most likely this was built in one of the batches to be made a T, but rejected by Holland and Holland and sent back for regular duty with the TR marking lined out. Maker is BSA Shirley, 1945. Bore is dark but serviceable with pitting towards the muzzle end.
$325 firm, or best reasonable offer.
Chinese Type 53
Numbers match minus the bolt. Bore is shiny like new. Great shooter. Not much else to say about it. Stock is in good shape but could use a light cleaning. Some original finish left in places.
It's the one without a sling. Other rifles have been sold.
Thanks for looking.
