I have for sale a Colt / Ithaca USGI National Match 1911A1 Government model. Those of you who know what this is will not need and explanation, but I'll do my best anyways.

This is a very rare and unique USGI M1911A1 variant that was produced for military marksmanship programs and service pistol match competitions during the 1950's and 1960's. Springfield Armory ( the real one in Mass), built these guns by hand fitting an existing service frame to a new production slide for a tight, smooth fit, then adding a National Match barrel, link, barrel bushing, aluminum wide adjustable wide target trigger, micro brand rear sight, patridge type serrated front sight, and finally checkering of the front strap. This pistol dates to 1962 and only 172 were released to the public by DCM (the former name of the CMP when they sold pistols too). This is a real deal USGI model that instead of being refurbished by the military after the war, it was turned a match pistol for the Military.

Very Smooth. Very tight. Very Clean. And Very original. I am selling because It is simply too nice to shoot as much as I'd like to shoot it and do not want a safe queen.

All original with all USGI national match parts. Barrel and slide are colt. Again, condition is excellent. Minor wear marks. No idiot scratch.
I do not have an original mag, so I am including a nice Chip McCormick 8 round stainless mag.

The photos show the gun freshly oiled, so it looks a bit dark, but as the finish absorbs the oil, it shows the more natural dark grey/green one would expect of a parkerized USGI gun.
