Item Description:
FNH-USA Patrol Bolt Rifle .308 Win with factory muzzle brake
I have for sale a FNH-USA Patrol Bolt Rifle (PBR) in .308 Winchester. The PBR is similar to a Winchester Model 70 and was intended for law enforcement. Unlike a Model 70, this has a detachable stainless steel box magazine that inserts in some very sturdy bottom metal. This is one of the last New Haven manufactured PBR's. It has an 18? medium heavy, cold-hammer-forged barrel with a factory installed multiport muzzle brake. This rifle has a factory Hogue stock with the full-length aluminum bedding block and a free floated barrel. The brake and recoil pad are amazing and this rifle shoots softer than a .223.
Some other features include: * 3-position M-70 type safety * weighs approximately 9.25 lbs. * 2 front & 1 rear sling swivel studs.
Exactly 48 shots fired since new, all factory ammo, and the barrel was carefully broken in. Accuracy is excellent. The rifle is in excellent-plus overall condition.
These came from the factory with two piece scope mounts, but mine has a single piece 20 moa picatinny rail from NEAR Mfg. Installed, which is a very high end $175 rail, same as used on FN's military grade sniper rifles. (The original mounts are also included.) I'm also including a new-in-package spare magazine, otherwise a $40 item.
There are some other versions of the PBR in existence, and the newer ones don't have a detachable magazine or quite the same features. Be sure what you're looking at when comparing.
Asking $950. You can make lower offers, but don't bother with silly low-balls. Reasonable trade offers considered, but there isn?t much I?m looking for right now.
Available for FTF sale in the Lansing area (I96 between Cedar St. and Saginaw/Grand Ledge exit). I could also ship to an FFL but only after payment clears my bank, and with shipping charges added. You must be a Michigan resident over 18 with ID, or I have to ship to an FFL in your state of residence.
