This is one of about 2000 carbines made after WWI when Austria became a republic. It is still in 8x50 and of course, no import marks. The Wn stands for Vienna. 19 for the year 1919. The k markings are for Steyr.
This is a Post war reparations clean up of "Work in progress" at the Steyr works...the "X" letter series of M95s all dated 1919-1920 and possibly 1921. The Czech use is confirmed by the "S Lion 4" mark is a Czech Military District allocation code. Many thanks to DocAV and USMCsean for this information.
I don't know what the splice in the stock is about. It is just wood-glued now so it won't slide off. The bore is dark but shows strong rifling. The sling is dried out and a bit brittle. It's been folded up for many years.
