Description

My fathers meager knife collection is now up for sale.
Im starting with the prize of his collection:
An Effingham Blackjack Model 1-7 with the Dymar Ivory handle.
The knife is unused, unsharpened and was sitting in my fathers safe since it was originally purchased.
This Dymar 1-7 was a limited edition Cutlery Shoppe exclusive:
An excerpt from the Cutlery Shoppe catalog/flyer:
A very limited production run of the classic Model 1-7 is now in stock.
Each piece is fashioned with a distinctive Dymar Ivory handle.
Dymar has the look and feel of natural ivory but is actually a polymer-based synthetic material, lower in cost, and just as beautiful.
Additionally, it will not crack, shrink, or ship like natural ivory and is totally impervious to the elements.
The Model 1-7 performs with its 0170-6 carbon carbon steel, making it a fully functional piece rather than just a decoration.
Every blade is hand honed to a convex edge
Blackjack Sharp says it all.
When Cutlery Shoppe closed out on these Dymar 1-7s they offered a black Cordura sheath.
Note that this Dymar Ivory 1-7 that my father is selling came from the early production run and came with a sturdy and well-made leather sheath. (See images)
A small unexpected bonus.
When I looked more closely at the paper that was wrapped around the cardboard blade protector sheath, the paper came from the window sticker/decal of a 1996 Lincoln Town Car.
My father never owned a Lincoln Town Car and this came with the knife from the Blackjack factory.
So, not sure if someone at Blackjack Knives was doing well that year and purchased a Lincoln Town Car, but an interesting period addition to this knife.

Despite the rarity of this knife and exceptional condition, the price is ONLY $399
