1989 K75s in great condition
I've owned this bike since 1991.
My wife and I are moving up to Oregon so it's time for me to find a new home for the 'ol flying brick.
I wish I didn't have to sell her, but it's time to let her go (the bike that is).
You don't see bikes like this in this kind of shape very often so here's your chance to grab one of these classics!
The bike is loaded with goodies:
-Fox shock tuned by GP Suspension
-Front forks have GP Suspension springs
-New master cylinder
-Steel braided front brake lines
-Touring auxiliary headlights
-Bagster bra with tank bag bracket
Very smooth and super stable.
I just changed all the fluids and have performed regular maintenance on the bike since buying it.
The only thing it's due for is getting the spline lubed between the gear box and the motor.
In '94 I had to replace the gearbox since 2nd gear failed.
I haven't had any issues with it since.
I bought it from the BMW dealership in Mountain View with a salvaged title back in 1991.
The first owner laid it down when it was brand new and damaged enough of the plastics for the insurance company to total it out.
The dealership completely refurbished it and changed the color from pearl to red.
Mileage on the clock shows 67,665, but actual mileage is 75,000 since the dealership replaced the instrument cluster when the refurbished the bike.
The tank has a couple of little scratches that I tried to get in the pictures.
The tank bags show your typical wear.
The left side is scratched up from the bike getting knocked over once.
The latch on the right side bag has a little residual surfboard resin that I accidentally dripped on the bag while fixing a surfboard in the garage.
The resin doesn't significantly effect the operation of the bag.
The bike is in San Francisco.
