I purchased this 2006 KTM 950 Supermoto brand new in 2006 from Scuderia West on Duboce Street in San Francisco. As of today (I'm not currently riding it on a regular basis), it has 9,230 miles on the odometer, all administered by me. This bike has a clean title in hand.
My 950SM has been meticulously maintained since the day it was new by Scuderia West (http://www.scuderiawest.com/) and by the highly esteemed Mike Nield (formerly of Scuderia West) at his Marin Moto Works business in San Rafael (http://marinmotoworks.com/). All scheduled maintenance intervals, service bulletins and recalls have been performed since new. All service records to be included with the sale. The bike has been "preemptively" maintained since the day that I bought it, meaning that I stayed on top of its mechanical and cosmetic condition in the most obsessive manner possible, before problems might have occasion to present themselves.
I JUST (9,177 miles) had a major service performed by Marin Moto Works, including thorough cleaning of carburetor, new water pump, new radiator, oil/filter change with Motorex Power Synth 10/50, new spark plugs (NGK CR8EK), brake fluid flush/change (Motorex), new valve cover gaskets, new air filter, etc). The bike currently needs NOTHING with recent Michelins and plenty of remaining pad/rotor life. It runs perfectly.
Since I have owned this KTM 950, I have tastefully modified the bike to improve its appearance, performance and desirability. This includes Carbon fiber tail section, CF headlight surround, CF side panels, CF rear-inner fender/chain guard, CF engine protection, Akropovic exhaust system and accompanying carburetor tuning kit, Emig Racing steering damper, Emig Racing triple clamp, new chain & sprockets for more low-end/midrange, KTM comfort gel seat, KTM orange anodized pieces (brake reservoir covers, etc), crash protection (frame & axles) and much more. I paid
$13,000 for the bike when new and easily have another $5,000 in quality upgrades spent.
NOTE: ALL original factory parts are included in the sale, including original plastic bodywork, original exhaust system, original triple clamp, original seat, etc. The sale also includes both keys, owner's manual and KTM briefcase.
If you are looking for the finest 2006 KTM 950 Supermoto, don't look any further because you won't find a cleaner, more meticulously maintained, lower mileage, more tastefully modified example anywhere for any price. At $8,495 , you are unlikely to come across a more compelling, 2-wheeled value proposition.
