In the time honored tradition of buying a project and putting a lot of money into it, I list my '06 Sm610
The Good:
New stator+flywheel(300ish miles)
New cam chain + right guide and reed valve (300ish miles)
Angel Gt’s with good life (900ish miles)
Trail Tech Vapor(900ish miles)
New Chain+ front sprocket(900ish miles)
New pads front and rear(900ish miles)
New CDI box, original included (still works, long and expensive story/lesson)(300ish miles)
Full gaskets from cylinder base up + side covers (300ish miles)
New intake elbow(900ish miles)
New Chain sliders(900ish miles)
Tusk bag on tail
New oil pump cover
Assorted OEM hardware at $2+ a bolt
Generic Enduro left mirror
New cam bearings (300ish miles)
Valves adjusted (300ish miles)
Renthal bars
Driven supermoto grips(900ish miles)
CG bark busters
New throttle cables(100ish miles)
LV x3 slip-on (works good but could use a repack)
Jet Kit (Cant confirm because I haven’t gotten in to the carb, but I did add a new fuel screw)
Fork Bleeders(300ish miles)
New CG blinkers, might have whats left of the old ones in a box
Skid Plate (not installed but included)
Header Wrap (not installed but will throw in)
New Neutral Safety switch (idiot light hooked up to green led next to the trail tech) (900ish miles)
No smog equipment
As many OE parts were used as possible
The not so good:
Plastidipped black, but its peeling, one of the PO’s peeled the graphics poorly, mostly shallow scratches throughout (Will include 2 or 3 cans to redo)
Approx 20k miles, but new cam chain, cam bearings, gaskets, and stator/flywheel took care of most of weaknesses and I had Motoexotica look at the bore when I picked up parts and they said it was clean and good to run, head as well
Was jetted in Reno/Tahoe so it tends to run a little rich
Kickstand is a little wobbly
Clutch lever is loose in perch, but functions fine
Seat is rough around mounting hole
Wheels are ok, but are dinged up and scratched, rear wheel is missing one spoke, but I have two OE spokes and nipples (left and right specific spokes), that being said, they both balanced up fine when the tires were mounted)
Carb works fine (but it will need a rebuild sooner rather than later, leaks out vent tube from time to time right after riding)
Right radiator bent approx 1/2 inch, still works great
The Bad:
Left fork seal is leaking (forks could use a rebuild)
-battery tender
-trackside brand mx center stand
Front and rear stands available but not included (will work a good deal if buyer wants them)
Reason for selling
she’s been a ton of fun for me, both riding and the build, unfortunately life right now is not conducive to owning two bikes, and seeing as I’ve been riding with my dad and his friends, Ill be keeping my Harley.
