I just moved back to the Bay Area a few months ago and quickly realized I wanted a Dual Sport again. Something very dirt oriented..
This is a garage-kept, over-maintained, one owner bike. I've personally done absolutely everything on this bike.
I know every millimeter of it by now. I'm also a mechanical engineer that does engine development so I'm much more meticulous than your shop mechanic. Short of a lift or air tools my garage is just as well equipped too . If you can't tell anyone has touched it, it means there's a good mechanic behind it.
Bike is currently titled, insured and registered in CA. The one detail, straight up, is that it has a SALVAGE Title. It was stolen in 2009 and later recovered without most plastics or tank and drilled ignition. Not crashed. Everything was replaced with OE parts (ex fairings are aftermarket) and I've since put close to 10,000k on her! Even made a few track events. Paper makes no difference to how this thing looks or performs. Reads "good deal".
13,200mi. Not a scratch on her. Original owner.
-Racetech compression and rebound valves. 175lb rider. Night and day difference! Have the valving specs.
-Leo Vince Carbon Fiber Exhaust slip-on. Heat wrapped (black) from the headers back.Service:
Checked valves during thanksgiving (Nov), ahead of schedule (16k). No adjustment was nec. Have clearance specs.
Michelin Pilot Power 3 tires, chain & sprockets nearly new. Maybe 1k on them. OEM ratio. Including +2T rear AL Vortex sprocket as spare. I thought it was too short for the highway.
All fluids two months old: brake, oil/filter, air filter and coolant. Done during valve check. Mobil 1 Synthetic 10-40T @ 4k intervals. Manual says 7k.... Manual Included.
SS braided brake lines.
Tapered steering bearings.
Powder coated black: pegs, shifter linkage and rear subframe.
Bike is in perfect shape and rides like a spaceship.
