Description

For sale is my newly purchased Seiko 5 Ocean Conquest mod purchased from "aitch" on WUS.
Here is the story, humbly copied from the creator.
I am requesting $190 plus $10 shipping CONUS.
International shipping would be actual cost.
More current (amateurish) photos are attached below the text and photos from "aitch".
I only wore the watch a couple of times and, honestly, I have too many to wear in rotation.
The watch is very cool!:
The Seiko 5 Ocean Conquest - a 6309 mod.
So I had some parts lying around. Actually, to be specific, I had a blue Seiko 5 dial. I harvested the 7S26 movement for another watch, didn't like the Seiko 5 case (SNKK45) and the hands were boring. Thanks to the Lew & Huey Orthos, I'd had a blue and orange dive watch on my mind for a couple of months. Eventually these two pieces of information coalesced into a new coherent idea, and after some searching, a bunch of new parts were ordered.
I knew Dagaz/10Watches had a Planet Ocean-style orange bezel, which would fit most common divers, and that my dial would also fit those. After further browsing, I found Jake also had Longinges Hydroconquest-style hands too - ones I hadn't seen on too many mods either. Ebay searching turned up a seemingly reliable seller of old 6309s, so I ordered a 6309-729 variant - no turtle case here (or the associated high cost either). Once everything arrived, I got right to work!
Without further adieu, I give you the Seiko 5 Ocean Conquest.

I'm really loving it on this blue croc strap, but I also have a black rally and striped NATO which it works on as well. (My goal has been to have 3 good strap matches for each watch, keeps things interesting).

The lume is very good as well. The blue dial wasn't designed to be a diver so the lume is just small pips, but being Seiko they light up just as well as the hands. From straight on you get a nice double effect from the beveled crystal edge.
