Charles-Antoine LeCoultre established the watchmaking firm that bears his name in 1833 in the Joux Valley of Switzerland. In 1925 LeCoultre merged with the Jaeger Company to form Jaeger-LeCoultre. Here is a rare early vintage LeCoultre with signed A. LeCoultre 15 jewel triple-adjusted movement and near-mint sub-seconds dial. LeCOULTRE - Excellent 35x42mm signed stainless steel snapback case with fixed lugs (18mm lug width), signed A. LeCoultre 15 jewel movement with 3 adjustments, near-mint refinished signed silver satin dial with luminous arabic numerals, blued steel and luminous hands and subsidiary seconds at 6:00, fixed lugs (18mm). The stainless steel snapback case on this early vintage piece is signed LeCoultre on the inner case back, and is in excellent condition. The case is relatively large for this vintage at 35mm in diameter, not including crown. The signed A. LeCoultre 15 jewel movement has 3 adjustments. The movement is not working and needs service or repair. The signed silver satin dial has been refinished, and is near-mint in condition.
