Here’s one of the most over-built, tough-as-nails watches out there. Designed to the specifications of German search and rescue teams, the M?hle Glash?tte SAR Rescue Timer features a technical and highly legible dial with incredible lume, a 4mm thick sapphire crystal with internal ground Cyclops, a mighty 1000m water resistance, a rubber bezel (which protects and looks cool) and an ETA 2824-2 (this one is from 2005, newer models have Selitta movements) with special “woodpecker” neck regulation which adds extra shock protection. The 42mm case has an altogether unique design that despite being incredibly rugged is very wearable. Basically, this is just an incredible tool/sport watch that can take a licken’.
Originally purchased in 2005, I am the second owner. Comes with the original (and incredible) steel box and papers.
The case has some hairline surface scratches on the lugs (very shallow) so I’d give it a 90% TZ scale rating. The OEM rubber strap was cut for a 6.75” wrist and has desk dive wear on the buckle, so I’d give that an 80%. Otherwise, the watch works perfectly. I can throw in a barely worn Di-Modell Chronissimo strap for an additional $60.
I am asking $1200 OBO (it’s $2400 new) and would consider trades or trade + cash for a Sinn, Nomos, Stowa or an interesting vintage (surprise me!) Payment by PayPal, shipped CONUS
