After additions to the herd, I need to find a special place for this baby for $324.99 including fees an shipping.
For me the watch is something really special, mostly for two reasons:
First of all, I always liked the O&W brand a lot, as it has an
understated, not snobbish appeal, but also a history to back its
reputation. I also love the beautiful yet simple Ollech and Wajs-logo,
which is the stylized head-on view of an airscrew.
The second thing I really like about this watch, is the case. I always
liked this case design, which was, I think, introduced first by Heuer
(Heuer diver 1000) and used by many watch companys like CWC or others:
The case feels absolutely sturdy and robust. Fit and finish is at a high
standard. I like that it is completely polished, for me this adds some
vintage charm to the watch. The case houses a metal movement holder, not
one made of plastic.
The original mercedes hands were replaced by Jack at IWW to sword hands to make it military inspired.
(The original hands are in a plastic container inside the box)This is the Ollech & Wajs
