Up for sale is my Stowa flieger / pilot B-face dial with the stunning blue-flamed hands. Im torn about giving this one up but Im reconciling it with the fact that Im going after a different Stowa.
If youre looking at Stowa, you probably know all about the history so I wont go into that detail. But if youre looking at this and say a Laco, you wont go wrong with opting for the Stowa. The central second hand is entirely lumed (unlike the Laco offerings) and I actually prefer the 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, lumed choices over every 5, which I think washes out the dial.Reason Im selling: Need to free up some funds and this watch is having a hard time getting into the rotation as it is.Price: $700(includes watch, 3 straps, paypal fees and shipping)Shipping to: CONUS*ships to verified Paypal address & with signature confirmationBox?: YesPapers?: YesModel: Flieger Klassik 40 Baumuster BMovement: ETA 2824-2Case: Brushed SteelCaseback: Exhibition caseback (sapphire)Case Size: 40 mmThickness: 10.2 mmCrystal: SapphireWater Resistance: up to 5 ATMLug Width: 20 mmStraps: 3 - the dark brown OEM leather strap with rivets and brushed hardware. The OEM strap is frayed and probably should be replaced. Im including it though because of the brushed hardware. The buckle has the original Stowa logo. The other 2 straps I am including are: a beige/tan leather NATO (polished hardware) from Crown & Buckle and a gray Bond zulu strap (brushed hardware) from Holbens Watch Bands.Provenance: I purchased this directly from Stowa and received it in Dec. of 2014. I have been the only owner. Watch was worn at least once every 2 weeks. Wear & Tear notes: there are some scratches near the lugs. See pics for detailsIve bought and sold off WUS before.
