This is the nicest sterile vintage big-crown submariner homage Ive come across in terms of specs and build quality.
The base watch is a Ticino Sea Viper, which has the following specs:Case: 40mm. Solid 316L stainless steel with screw-down crown and case backCase Height: 13mmCrown: 8mm. Screw down crownBracelet: Solid 316L stainless steel. Oyster bracelet with solid links, solid end links, and a solid steel fliplock clasp.AR inner-coated domed sapphire crystalBezel: Unidirectional aluminum bezel insert with lume dotMovement: 24-jewel Miyota 9015 Japanese automatic. High beat rate at 28,800 bph. The movement hacks and can also be hand woundWater Resistance: 20atm/660ft
Then the watch was further customized by the previous owner with the following:Sterile dial and gilt hands were re-lumed with vintage-style lumeBezel insert was switched out for a more vintage style insert without hash marks; lume pip was re-lumed to match the dial/handsMiddle links of the bracelet were brushed to match the finish of the rest of the braceletThe original glidelock clasp (which never really worked anyway) was replaced with a solid oyster-style clasp that works great and matches the overall finish of the braceletAfter the customization work was performed, watch was pressured tested to assure proper water resistanceThe Miyota 9015 movement is working as it should (winding and hacking both work splendidly), and it keeps excellent time.
Condition is overall excellent. Bracelet has been sized but removed links are included.
Overall, this is a very solid and robust watch - you get the vintage look of a no-crown guard big-crown sub, but with the solid fit and finish of a modern watch.
And you have the added benefit of it being a fully one-of-a-kind customized watch.
Will come with original Ticino box/warranty card.
These watches sell for $230 brand new, and this one has additionally been extensively modded.
I am asking only $275, including shipping to the U.S. International shipping at buyers cost.
Please let me know if you have any questions.Regards,Jason
