Up for sale is my Tourby Big Pilot (45mm), in Excellent condition.
It has a handmade Pilot Vintage dial, and a Center Seconds modified manual wind Unitas 6497 movement, with gold plated swan neck, screw balance, special engraved bridges, etc.
The movement has a nice feature where the seconds hand returns to the 12 o'clock position and stops, when the crown is pulled, for setting the watch precisely.
The watch wears very well for the size, as the lugs curve nicely around the wrist.
Here are pics of the watch and movement:
I purchased the watch from Tourby in September 2010.
In September 2015, I sent the watch back to Tourby for servicing and to have the dial and hands upgraded to the (pricey) handmade "Vintage" dial and heat-blued hands.
The new dial is fantastic...it has a stenciled design which is then packed with lume--this thing glows like an absolute torch...by far the brightest lumed dial i have seen.
Tourby gave the watch an adjustment but advised not doing a full service at the time since it was running extremely well.
I've recently tested the watch and it is still running at +4 seconds per day.
Here is an overall pic showing everything included:
The original outer box, box, and papers, as well as papers from the recent service.
The watch originally came from Tourby in the pictured really nice watch case that can hold 10 watches and has a nice drawer with dividers for holding straps etc.
(I'm sad to see this case go but wanted to include the original box from Tourby!).
Some of the pillows show some wear but overall the box is in excellent condition.
Here is a closer pic of all the included straps etc.:
Substantial SS Tourby bracelet (endlinks in the baggy), extra original dial/hands, Tourby deployant, two beautiful Colareb Italian straps that go really well with the watch, and a bunch of unused or barely used natos/zulu/perlon straps.
Here is one of my older pics showing what the original dial/hands look like (and bracelet):
I prefer the new Vintage dial/hands, but it is nice to have the original parts as well.
I am also including the pictured strap on the watch, my absolutely favorite ammo from Zack (old skool) at Red12 straps (and the strap's original box).
It is made from a WWI Swedish ammo pouch and is super soft and flexible.
Also included is a handmade coin-inlay buckle from Piotr in Poland:
Here are some pics from Tourby as the watch was originally being assembled:
The bridges back from engraving:
After the rhodium plating of the bridges and assembly:
The case is another highlight of the watch, with a nice mix of polished and brushed surfaces...the lugs have nice polished bevels and the bezel is polished on top and brushed on the side:
Here's a recent pic on one of the Colareb straps:
And a shot again from today's photo shoot:
Overall, it's a fantastic watch...I'm reluctantly selling to fund another watch purchase.
I'm asking $2600...now lowered to $2400...by Paypal for everything (with shipping in the US and Paypal fees included).
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional information.
Thanks for looking.
