This is a very pretty, very unusual and unmolested vintage Waltham watch made in limited production for the Masons in, as far as I can tell, the 1950s.
The watch has a 17 jewel manual-wind Waltham-signed Swiss ETA calibre 2540 movement that is winding well and keeping excellent time.
The dial is apparently painted with the various mystic Masonic symbols, with
. . .
LOVE YOUR FELLOW MAN
LEND HIM A HELPING HAND
. . . above the skull at 6 oclock.
There is light crazing of the dial finish apropos for the age of the watch.
The case / bezel of the watch is a gold-toned or plated base metal, with a snap-on stainless steel case-back.
The watch case is triangular, 40mm on a side, with a loop at the top, with a Masonic insignia inside.
The entire bezel is immaculate, with zero wear-through or signs of distress.
The unsigned strap, 20mm at the lugs, appears to be original to the watch, and in very good condition.
Signed crown, dial, case, and movement.
I have seen these watches on the internet with prices all over the place (with one on an auction site at more than twice my price) so Im offering this original example in excellent over-all condition at a very affordable $499 plus actual carriage.
