Up for sale is my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. It hurts my heart, but I'll start of with the issue and reason for selling...
Last week the engine started tapping,
I know. I have not pulled the engine out to diagnose the exact problem, but from experience it is definitely internal and likely will require some level of engine repair. The car still starts and will run/drive, but it is not recommended until the issue is resolved to prevent further, more catastrophic failure. It displays the P0011 "A" camshaft blah blah code, but we all know that could be a plethora of things so take it for what it's worth. It is parked and will remain that way until it sells or is fixed. Now, if you're still interested please continue reading.
The car has 91,720 miles currently as of 03-12-18. At 64xxx miles the car received a new OEM shortblock from Subaru for unknown reasons as this was prior to my ownership. I have the full invoice for that work. Since then, and up until now, the car has been properly maintained with oil changes every 3000 miles with Rotella T6. The car is in great condition. Interior is clean. Paint is beautiful, with the exception of a few small "dings". It has been garage kept the entire time myself and the previous owner had it. Also, the front and rear bumpers could use some love. The rear bumper has a couple scuffs which were there when I purchased the car. The front bumper has typical drive wear as well as some very minor exterior blemishes/imperfections from plowing through a stupid cat in the road. When that happened, it ripped the front lip off which did some damage to the bolt holes underneath. The car sounds amazing although it does have an exhaust leak which I was going to fix last week but then the engine issues came up. I have the proper Vibrant exhaust gasket in hand for that. This car also handles flawlessly during spirited daily driving. I never had this particular car on track but I know it would do great as it sits. With all that said, here is a list of modifications. If I forget something please forgive me, I will update if I catch it.

Like I said, if anything else comes to mind I will update accordingly. I have priced this car to sell in the condition it's in based on the book value of if it were in good mechanical condition, factoring in the estimated cost of basic repair. There is a lien on the title, but will be paid off at the time of sale and will not hinder the sale in any way. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I do not wish to hide anything or mislead anyone in any way.
I love this car and had no intentions of selling just yet. I just don't have the additional funds to fix it currently due to other recent investments and have been considering putting my "toy" money elsewhere anyway. Thank you for reading. Please contact me with any questions.
