I'm super sad to say that the time has come for us to sell our beloved NB Miata. We bought this car in 2013 from a lovely couple who were selling all of their earthly belongings and going to retire and head off to sail the ocean seas. The car became our dedicated AutoX/Track Day car, my wife's daily driver for about 3 years in Washington, D.C., and then when we moved to TX, my daily driver for the last few years. So, why in the world would someone heavily modify a Miata and then look to sell it? Well, my wife and I have recently had our first baby, and the time has come for me to move on to something with a backseat and trunk that can fit car seats, strollers, and all sorts of other fun stuff.

ProsThe car is fast, runs great, and is an absolute hoot to drive (whether spirited at the track or AutoX or just on a daily commute.)
All maintenance has been kept up with - timing belt and engine seals done around 90,000 miles
Clean Carfax (which I can send you if you shoot me an email)
ConsDue to the MegaSquirt, which does not have an OBD2 port, the car does not pass TX emissions in its current form. Every year, I swap the injectors, the ECU, and add back in the MAF sensor to get it to pass. This isnt a major deal, but takes about a half a day every year. You could choose to sell the MegaSquirt and use the TDR Timing/Fuel cards (cost to do it would be made up for from MS sale); however, youd give up power under the curve.
The car has a solid tune on it and has been to a dyno tuner (PowerFab Autosports in Houston, TX); however, the tune is not perfect. Its a megasquirt and it still does weird things from time to time.
The car was dailied in D.C. and has some fender / rocker panel rust (see pics in google album)
So, heres the deal. Im going to post this here and see if anyone has any interest. If not, after a couple of months, I'll start the part-out process. If you think this is the car for you (and it is truly an epic drive), make me an offer. You can see all of my math and original prices of things in this google spreadsheet, but I encourage you to do your own research and feel good about things.
