I picked up this 1995 walnut Alembic about 5 years ago due to its somewhat unique elements.
It has Elan electronics with fatboy pickups, but its body shape looks more like a combination of the Elan with the later Europa model.
The body is an alembic sandwich of mahogany-purpleheart-walnut.
It's a neck-through of maple with walnut stripes.
The neck is a 35" scale, ebony fretboard, and it's progressively profiled a la Tobias, so that it's rounder at the nut than where it joins the body.
Very comfortable to play.
There are a few extremely minor dings here and there, one on the lower bout and one on the side of the headstock near the top, but they're small and don't show up in pictures (look more like rub marks) but the neck is clear and smooth as silk.
