Very reluctant to sell my Fender Lyte, but I need a bit more funds to purchase a Breedlove fretless acoustic/electric
This is a great bass that I used to gig with regularly for years in a couple of bands I have been in and it served me very well.
At only 7 pounds it served my lousy left shoulder well too!
I am probably not interested in trades unless there is the off chance you happen to have a Breedlove fretless.
This bass is all original other than having the plastic washer for the jack input replaced.
The original one cracked in half so I fabricated a much sturdier one out of metal.
It is missing the top caps on two of the plastic knobs.
It has a number of dings and blems on the black metallic finish, with a few rather prominent ones that someone (owner before myself) marked over (see pics). Fortunately these blemishes are limited to the back and sides of the bass and not the front, so front facing the bass looks gorgeous. The neck, a player's dream is a thin profile with a jazz bass feel to it and the back is very clean (no dents or dings) it is nice and straight and there is plenty of metal on the frets. The bass plays and sounds wonderful.
High quality japanese fit and finish from the Fujigen factory during their great instrument making peak.
This has the serial number J before the 6 number digits which indicates date of manufacture 1989/90.
Instruments from this area keep going up in value and this one is fairly rare and thus should also be a solid investment.
