Ibanez SR-890 PD 1992 Padauk Finish
Well after much debating and wrestling with my heart against my head, I am putting my 1992 Ibanez Model SR-890-PD 'Soundgear Series' 4-String Bass Guitar up for sale. These are harder to come by these days. It was manufactured in Japan's then very famous Fujigen factory in 1992.
Solid Ash Body with Padauk Top. Clearcoat body finish. 3-Piece Maple Neck with Rosewood Fretboard. 24 Jumbo Frets. I purchased it used and went to work on it.
I replaced the old Gold-plated hardware with all new Gotoh tuning machines.
Planet Waves Elliptical strap pins.
Along with a brand new Ibanez 'Accu-Cast-B IV' Bridge that I actually found on accident on eBay but the seller was in Switerland. No joke! These bridges are no longer manufactured.
Replaced the old volume knobs with all aluminum knobs from Best Bass Gear online.
Ibanez 'Active Full Range-P' in the Neck position. Ibanez 'AFR-J' in the Bridge position. 2-Band Active EQ system. Master 'Volume' and 'Tone' with One 'High Pass' EQ and 'Mid Pass' EQ Controls.
I have waxed the body every other month with Howards Feed-n-Wax.
Cleaned and polished all hardware.
Fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and all the electronics cleaned.
Intonation has been adjusted.
Strings on this bass are black flat wound nylon-wrapped Jazz Strings.
I believe that they might be Fenders not too sure though but they do sound very warm.
Kindly asking: $325.00 ---------- OR ---------- Trade for a comparable Jazz bass with a maple fingerboard.
Sorry about the crappy iPad photos!
Thanks for looking!
