Recently got another MTD 535 with different wood combination and it has been getting all of my attention. I loved playing this one,
it has great sound for finger style and an awesome slap sound (very tight and even sounding).
Weight is approximately
lbs. This bass is in excellent condition and definitely deserves to be someone's number 1 instrument, so I'm gonna have to let it go.
Here is more about this instrument :
The body is ash with a maple burl top. The neck is maple with a maple fingerboard. This bass is delivered with the revolutionary Buzz Feiten Tuning system.
This bass is 35" scale with 24 frets. The neck and body are hand finished with an epoxy base coat and catalyzed urethane topcoat. This gives a great feeling and durable finish. The truss rod is a true double acting rod and will adjust in both directions. It is adjustable with a 4 mm Allen wrench. The strings are MTD strings gauged: .045, .065, .085, .105, and .135.
It has active pick-ups and electronics that are custom made by Bill Bartolini. The controls are: master volume and a pan pot, treble, mid, bass cut and boost, with center click (from neck to bridge). The three position switch selects the mid range cut and boost point. Down is lower mids (250); center is middle (500) and up is upper mids (1000). When the mid pot is at center click, the switch has minimal effect. This eq runs on 2 9-volt batteries. There is a trim pot also inside the control cavity that can adjust the gain.
Price includes shipping to the continental US and it also includes a case.
