Shuker Artist fretless 34" 5 string (unlined + fret markers on side of neck). Bass is strung e-c. Quite uncommon in US. Made by talented UK luthier Jon Shuker.
String spacing center to center is 11/16 (17.5mm)
Fingerboard at nut is 1 7/8 inches.
Similar in design ethos to the Rob Allen MB2, but with some very interesting additions. Mahogany body? laminated mahogany neck? (or some similar looking/feeling wood). Body is a bit more solid than a RA--resulting in perhaps a bit more bottom. Nicely balanced, weighs in at 8.5 lbs.
Synthetic fingerboard is a flatter radius (vs. RA compound). Amazing feel. Precise, consistent, effortless. I have tapes on it, but it can handle nickel.
Has a three band eq. that allows traditional "upright" vibe and more electric tones. Expressive. Great attack.
Bass has some wear on it-- bunch of nicks and scratches near jack, sides, side of top horn. I'll photo when I get light. Also has light surface haze under lower strings--though i think that may polish out--not gouged.
