I picked this one up to be my carry gun, but I have ended up carrying my Colt Agent or my J-frame. . . at 150 lbs, even a K-frame snubby feels a bit big for concealed carry (leastwise how I dress), and I have recently acquired a 686-2 for open carry and range duty, so. . .
The 66-5 is the last generation of the pre-lock K-frames so, the firing pin is on the frame. This 66-5 is a pristine safe-queen with a very low round count. The finish is excellent and the forcing cone is perfect. No flame cutting on the top strap. Timing is dead-on, cylinder gap is tight, and lockup is tight. The trigger is excellent in both DA and SA -- She is as accurate as you are
Currently wearing a nice set of rubber grips. And, no, I don't have the original wood ones. Comes with original paperwork, but no box. For the right deal I will include a nice fitted pancake-style leather holster and a couple of speed loaders.
You're going to have a hard time finding a pre-lock model 66 in better shape than this.
I will entertain trades for quality revolvers by top marques, or a part trade for a Micro Desert Eagle. Cash price of $700, which would include accessories.
