After much deliberation, Ive decided to part ways with my 2013 Street Triple R with ABS. I obtained it in July 2014 from the original owner with 3000 or so miles on her. The original owner was admittedly a newer rider and as such, the suspension was completely soft and the tires were squared off when I got it. It literally rode like a high powered scooter. The combination of suspension settings, squared off tire, as well as overall condition of the bike tells me the previous owner did very little, if any, abuse.
It now has 7.2k miles on it, most of it daily commuting from San Francisco to Berkeley with a couple of rides down to Alices on the weekends. The bike has never been dropped, downed, tracked, stunted, abused, etc and is completely stock. I changed the oil at 6k miles using Repsol 4T Racing oil and flushed the brakes using MotulRBF600. The only problem, and I dont really call it a problem, is that the maintenance light is on for the oil change and you need a device to reset it.
Its an awesome bike and is probably a bike I will regret selling in the future as it does everything so well. Super smooth fueling, strong firm brakes, dialed in suspension, splits traffic easily on the weekday, rails turns like a sportbike on weekends. Life changes have convinced me this bike doesnt fit my lifestyle right now, so here it is.
