Selling my early 60's Favre-Leuba chronograph, radium dial with Valjoux 23 movement, 2 sub-dial version of the famed Valjoux 72.
Watch is all original except for the crystal. 36mm in diameter not counting the crown, 19mm lugs. Watch is signed 4 times on dial, crown, caseback and movement. Case appears to be unpolished and has the usual wears and scratches consistent with age. Two-tone dial with red tachy scale is just amazing and in mint condition with perfect radium lume dots. Hands are also mint with perfect lume intact. Original small pushers are very unique as well. Caseback is also signed 707 and 30223, where 30223 is the reference number (confirmed with another collector who has the same watch), and 707 should be the series #.
The watch keeps reasonable time at present, though no guarantees can be made with any vintage watch. All chronograph functions are working as they should but I haven't had the watch serviced during my possession. The watch starts to run with just 2-3 full winds at the crown indicating a good amplitude. The sale will be head only as the leather strap pictured is not included. No return accepted unless the watch is grossly misrepresented. The pictures also serve as part of the descriptions of the watch.
Price is $2200 net to me of all shipping cost and fees FIRM. Shipping is via UPS (2-day insured by Parcel Pro) in the US. Face to face can be arranged in the LA area. International transaction may be accepted at my discretion. No trades please. I have many positive feedback on the forum and I expect the same from buyer. Thanks for looking.
