Vulcain Nautical Cricket LE #51 of 209 Silver Dial with a Vulcain caliber V-10 manual movement 42mm
The Watch of Presidents. The dial on this watch is beautiful. I ended up buying this after a someone in one of the watch groups I am in kept posting stunning wrist shots. I had this watch fully serviced in the past 18 months... There isn't another silver dial for sale here or on the other common forums..
I am an avid collector and am simply consolidating down to make room for a new piece. This is priced to sell. Please give it a good home. It hates being a safe king..
Please note that if paid by Paypal due to their change in refund policies the PayPal fees and any shipping charges are not refundable..
Vulcain is a brand perhaps best known for its presence on the wrists of US Presidents, having appeared on all of them since Harry Truman (excluding G. W. Bush). This fact has given ample exposure to the Cricket line of watches (most commonly gifted to POTUS), which remain fairly synonymous with the brand to this day. The story of the Cricket goes deeper than this however, emboldened by a fierce presence on the landscape of early dive watches. With roots dating to the 40's and a pedigree that places it alongside the likes of Rolex and Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Vulcain Cricket lives on with remarkable consistency to those that study the earlier days of sport watches.
Inside the Nautical resides the Vulcain proprietary Cricket caliber V-10. A handsome and masculine looking movement that would be nice to see through an exhibition case back, but alas, this would render the audible alarm impossible. The 157 component V-10 is a hand wind with a power reserve of 42 hours.
